JUST IN: Over 40 People Feared Killed As Trailer Crashes Into Ekiti Market

As much as 40 people were feared killed when a trailer lost control and crashed into a market in Iworoko Ekiti, close to Ado-Ekiti, Saturday evening.

Iworoko Ekiti is home to a large number of students of Ekiti State University due to its proximity to the institution’s main campus.

Emmie's Blog gathered that the accident occurred during the market peak period located in the town.

A large crowd of sympathisers were seen wailing at the scene of the accident .

Mr Lere Olayinka, Media aide to former Ekiti State governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose also confirmed the report.

He wrote on his social media page:

Trailer carrying ONDO APC SENATORIAL CANDIDATE, Senator Tayo Akasoadura “Rice for Votes” kills over 40 people in Iworoko Ekiti, close to Ado Ekiti few minutes ago!”
